In this type of social engineering attack, fraudsters sent broadcast SMS/ online chat messages offering "work from home" jobs and to invest in products to earn commission for the same.
The message in this scam comes via SMS or WhatsApp.
These messages claim to offer Part-time job, on commission basis.
As victim calls on the number given in message, the cyber-fraudster impersonating an executive of a private company asks for details and work experience
The victims are asked to fill up online form and to join Telegram group (an instant messaging service).
The job profile is generally described as "Online Commodity Sale".
The victim is given short training on how to invest and withdraw funds. On trial basis, they are asked to purchase any low cost item and instantly gets double amount commission in their Bank account.
After gaining the trust of victim, they are lured to invest higher amounts and gets duped.
