PSB Alliance is an umbrella setup of all Public Sector Banks, jointly offering important customer oriented services envisaged by Department of Financial Services, Government of India under roadmap of Banking reforms - EASE (Enhanced Access & Service Excellence) - "Banking for Customer Convenience”. Canara Bank is one of the member Banks.

Doorstep Banking (DSB) is one of such initiative taken by PSB Alliance through which all Resident Indian customers (Individual Segment) having KYC complaint accounts and registered mobile numbers with the bank (except minors and illiterates) can avail major Financial and Non-financial banking services at the comfort of their doorstep. Currently, DSB services are available in 2572 selected centres across the country covering 4160 branches of our Bank.

Eligibility for availing Doorstep Banking Services

  • All saving accounts with individual capacity, joint accounts with operating condition Either of Survivor, Current Accounts (Individuals and Proprietorship), Cash Credit / Overdraft Accounts (Individuals and Proprietorship).
  • The account should be in operative status. Inoperative account holders after making the account operative as per Bank’s laid down guidelines, would also become eligible for availing the services.
  • Minor accounts, NRE Accounts, Mobile number linked to multiple customer IDs, joint accounts with operating condition jointly, Partnership Accounts, Trust, Firm, Company accounts are not eligible to avail DSB services.
  • Account with no debit/ inoperative/ memo attached account / blocked accounts etc. and the accounts which has been put on hold / freeze due to the order of Govt. Authority or otherwise will not be covered under DSB services.
  • The services will be provided exclusively to the customer’s own account and will not be extended to power of attorney holders or other representatives of the customer.

1. Cash Withdrawal (Minimum of Rs. 1000/- and Maximum of Rs. 10000/- per request) through AePS (Aadhaar enabled Payment System) & Debit Cards.

Presently, there are two “feet-on-street” service providers, through their agents facilitate the delivery of both financial and non-financial services to customers in selected centres across the country, namely

Doorstep Banking Services are provided to the customers on chargeable basis. The present prescribed service charges per service to customers are provided hereunder.

Age of Customer

Service charges Recoverable from the Customer’s Account

For Senior Citizens aged above 75 years

Service charges waived for maximum of 3 services per month per customer. In case they need more services, they may avail the same by paying the nominal prescribed fee of Rs.75 + GST.

For all other customers except specified above

Rs.75 + Applicable GST

Note: Service charges are prevailing as on date, subject to changes from time to time.

Other Important Instructions

  • Customer should not provide any stale / mutilated / tampered / defective cheque / instruments to the agent. Canara Bank is not liable for not crediting any such amount for the total value of the stale / mutilated / tampered / defective instruments in the account of the customer.
  • The customer shall attend agent immediately on his arrival.
  • The customer should keep sufficient balance in the account before placing of Doorstep Banking Service Request.
  • Customer should not make any payment for the services to the agent.
  • Customer should not share any details / information (e.g. Account details, ATM Card / PIN details etc.) with agent.
  • Multiple instruments can be picked by an agent for single pick up request. However, different instrument types cannot be clubbed for a single request ID.

Note: The Doorstep Banking Services should be seen only as a mere extension of regular banking services offered by our Bank at the branches and hence the liability of the Bank shall remain same as if the transactions were conducted at the branch.
