Purpose |
Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF ) Scheme
- To help increasing of milk and meat processing capacity and product diversification thereby providing greater access for unorganized rural milk and meat producers to organized milk and meat market.
- To make available increased price realization for the producer.
- To make available quality milk and meat products for the domestic consumer.
- To fulfill the objective of protein enriched quality food requirement of the growing population of the country and prevent malnutrition.
- Develop entrepreneurship and generate employment.
- To promote exports and increase the export contribution in the milk and meat sector.
- To make available quality concentrated animals feed to the cattle, buffalo, sheep, goat, pig and poultry to provide balanced ration at affordable prices to provide financial support to infrastructure investments in dairy, meat processing and animal feed plants.

1. |
Diary Processing & Value added dairy product manufacturing |
Establishment of new units and strengthening of existing dairy processing units with quality and hygienic milk processing facilities, packaging facilities or any other activities related to dairy processing. Establishment of new units for value added milk products like i. Ice Cream Unit. ii. Cheese manufacturing unit. iii. Ultra high temperature milk processing unit with tetra packaging facilities. iv. Flavoured milk manufacturing unit. v. Milk powder manufacturing unit. vi. Whey powder manufacturing unit. vii. Any other milk products and value addition manufacturing unit |

Meat processing and value added dairy product manufacturing (Sheep, Goat and Poultry ) |
Establishment of new meat processing unit and strengthening of existing meat processing facilities for sheep/goat/poultry/pig/buffalo in rural, semi-urban and urban areas. Large scale integrated meat processing facilities/plant/unit. The project cost of each meat processing plant should compulsorily include Effluent Treatment Plant (ETP), Meat Microbiological Testing Laboratory, Residue Testing laboratory, Cold storage for holding the offal’s, skin/hide processing arears and their preservation and refrigeration facilities for holding the chilled products and value added products for minimum of 24 hours. |

Animal Feed Manufacturing and Strengthening of existing units/plants |
- Establishment of Mini, Medium & Large Animal Feed Plant.
- Total Mixed Ration Block Making Unit.
- By pass protein unit. iv. Mineral mixture plant.
- Enrich Silage making unit.
- Animal Feed Testing Laboratory to be attached with the medium to Large feed plant or the EE can avail benefit for establishment of Animal Feed Testing Laboratory in the existing Feed Plant to ensure quality feed.

Guarantee Cover |
Credit Guarantee by NABsanrakshan will be provided only for those projects which are viable and are covered under MSME defined ceilings and the guarantee coverage would be up to 25% of the credit facility available to the Eligible Entity. Credit Guarantee cover by Credit Guarantee Fund Trust for Micro and Small Enterprises (CGTMSE) Eligible units may also avail credit guarantee cover from CGTMSE under their Scheme for the loan amount up to Rs. 2.0 crore with the guarantee cover of maximum 85% of the loan amount. MSME loans :
Hypothecation of movable Assets created out of our finance & wherever immovable assets are created the same has to be mortgaged.
In addition to the above credit guarantee cover is available up to 25% of the credit facility.
Other than MSME:
Up to Rs.2.00 Lakhs: Hypothecation of Assets created out of our finance.
Above Rs.2.00 Lakhs :
Hypothecation of Assets created out of our finance.
Mortgage of landed property with Post development security value of minimum 125% of the loan amount.

Availability of Interest Subvention |
- 3.00% interest subsidy for all Eligible Entities.
- The Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying will directly pass the Interest Subvention to the Bank.
- The Eligible Entities will not be able to get the interest subvention if the Eligible entity is defaulter of re-payment of loan amount in any given year.

Interest Rate |
- For MSME Category: Loans up to Rs.2.00 lakhs as per circular No. 166/2020 dated 24.03.2020. Above Rs.2.00 lakhs RLLR+2.00 % irrespective of the Security and Risk grading under the scheme.
- For Other Category: All Food & Agro Processing industries classified under Agriculture – Ancillary up to 100 Cr should be linked to RLLR. As per HO Circular 166/2020 dated 24.03.2020 and other ROI guidelines issued from time to time.
