Canara bank with an intent to support the Women Entrepreneurship in India has launched the Canara Mahila Vikas to empower and encourage women for income generation activities either in Manufacturing / Services /Trading/Small Businesses.
Nature of facility Working Capital by way Overdraft facility & Term loan.
Purpose "To meet business related needs including purchase/ construction of business premises, machinery, equipment’s, vehicles and working capital requirements of WOMEN under Micro Small and Medium Enterprises including Retail Traders."
Target Group Enterprises owned by women complying with the MSME guidelines (as defined under MSMED Act 2006 with further revision in definition of MSME effective from 01.07.2020, as per Gazette Notification dated 26.06.2020 with relevant modifications communicated subsequently) are eligible to be financed under this scheme.
Quantum of loan
  • Minimum Loan above ₹10 Lakhs.
  • Maximum Loan up to ₹5 Crores.
Margin WC/TL – 20%
Repayment Period
  • Working Capital tenable for 1 Year.
  • Term Loan Up to a Maximum of 84 months including moratorium.
Security
  • Primary : Hypothecation of assets created out of loan.
  • Collateral : Minimum Collateral Security requirements by way of Land/Land and building and/or approved securities shall be stipulated subject to the Risk Rating(Low/Normal/Moderate).
  • New Units can be accepted subject to satisfactory Market Opinion on the promoters and prospects of the project/Business Proposed.
  • Individuals, Proprietorship concern, Partnership firm, LLPs, Corporate bodies owned and managed by women. In case of Partnership Firm/LLPs/Private/Public Ltd companies, partners’ capital/share capital of minimum 51% with women shall be considered as units owned by Women.
  • Business entities (existing/proposed) that have completed 2 years of business operations and having a satisfactory track record with the existing banker for last 2 years (both conduct of account with financing branch and financials of the applicant unit). Also New units can be accepted subject to satisfactory market opinion on promoters & prospects of Project.
  • Minimum CIC score of promoters in individual capacities (i.e. consumer CIC scores) from any empanelled credit bureaus should be 650.
  • Customer Identification proof along with NF998 MSME application.
  • Address Proof of unit and promoters.
  • License/permissions.
  • Financial papers for the last 3 years with ITR and projections.
  • Details of Guarantor with proof of assets.
  • Valuation report.
  • Stock Statement.
  • Land and Building accepted as securities under the scheme should be backed by an approved building plan from authorized government agencies.
  • In case of leasehold properties, mortgage of leasehold rights over the property has to be permitted under the terms of respective lease deed.
  • Agricultural Properties shall not be accepted under this scheme.
  • Existing customers enjoying limits/liability with us may be permitted to switch over to this scheme upon complying with all the applicable guidelines of the scheme, subject to the Terms & conditions.
