Automated Teller Machine is a computerized machine that provides the customers of banks the facility of accessing their accounts for dispensing cash and to carry out certain other financial transactions without the need of actually visiting the branch.
The ATM cards/debit cards and credit cards can be used at ATMs for various transactions.
Following services/facilities are available:
For transacting at an ATM, the customer inserts his/her Debit Card / Credit Card in the ATM and enters Personal Identification Number (PIN).
Yes. The Debit Cards issued by the Bank can be used at any bank ATM within India for balance enquiry and cash withdrawal.
PIN is the numeric password for use at the ATM. The PIN is separately handed over to the customer by the bank while issuing the card. This PIN has to be reset to a new PIN by the customer.
Note: The PIN number should not be disclosed to anyone, should not be written on the card, no written record of the PIN to be kept as in such cases the card can be misused if the card is lost/stolen.
The customer to contact his branch for issuing new card if he/she forgets the PIN. Even for action on sucked card, customer to contact his/her branch.
The customer may inform his branch and may contact ATM Switch Centre (18004256000/18004257000) immediately on noticing the loss so as to enable the bank to block/hot-list such cards.
The cash withdrawal limit at our Bank's ATM is Rs.20,000/-per day and in other bank ATMs it is Rs.10,000/- per transaction subject to per day limit.
No charges are payable for using other banks' ATM for balance enquiry. Using other bank ATMs for cash withdrawal is free for Savings Bank account holders upto 5 transactions per month. Beyond this number, the service fee for cash withdrawal is Rs.20/- per transaction. However, for current account holders (including overdraft), service charge of Rs.20/- per transaction is applicable from the first transaction itself.
The customer may lodge a complaint with the card issuing branch. This process is applicable even if the transaction was carried out at another bank's ATM.
Banks will re-credit such wrongly debited amounts within a maximum period of 12 working days from the date of complaint.
Yes. Bank will pay customers Rs.100/- per day for delays beyond 12 working days.
For all such complaints customer may lodge a complaint with the local Banking Ombudsman if the bank does not respond.
